IRI Costco CRX™ is an exclusive data sharing program facilitated by IRI and Costco that provides selected manufacturers access to Costco’s store-level point-of-sales (POS) data in a structured, collaborative framework. The valuable insights are delivered right to your desktop using Microsoft Excel and on-line analytical processing (OLAP) PivotTables – powerful tools you already own and know how to use. You can also access Costco data using the IRI PlusSuite™, a desktop reporting and analysis tool that combines ad-hoc access to IRI data with the power of Microsoft Office. This unique information sharing program delivers direct, interactive access to the industry’s only source of Costco’s warehouse-specific, daily, item-level POS data. IRI processes, hosts and markets Costco’s POS data to the Costco vendor community. Manufacturers use the Costco CRX program to produce share and benchmarking trend performance reports and eliminate user data manipulation time with pre-calculated, pre-aggregated metrics. Users can also build forecasting models based on historical sales, and conduct productive sales review discussions with Costco buyers using a common data set.
